Professional Psychotherapy Associates is an association of independent mental health practitioners comprised of an experienced staff of four licensed clinical psychologists and three licensed clinical social workers.

PPA was established in 1984 to provide for the mental health needs of Roane and surrounding counties. Over the years, it has become an integral component of the health care network for the seven county region it serves.

Located overlooking Watts Bar Lake, the practice provides professional and compassionate care for a broad range of concerns in a peaceful, unhurried setting.

Reported illnesses have ranged from mild symptoms to severe illness and death for confirmed coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases.

The following symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure.*

  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath

If you develop emergency warning signs for COVID-19 get medical attention immediately. Emergency warning signs include*:

  • Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
  • Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
  • New confusion or inability to arouse
  • Bluish lips or face
