Belinda Leventhal is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Professional Counselor with a PhD in Human Services. Dr. Leventhal also holds a Master Addiction Counselor Certification obtained through NCC_AP, is DOT SAP Qualified through NAADAC and an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Certification from EMDRIA Institute.

Dr. Leventhal holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Community Health and Human Services, with a major in addictions studies from St. Joseph’s College, Brooklyn NY, awarded in 2005; a Master of Social Work from Adelphi University, Garden City, NY, awarded in 2009; and a PhD in Human Services with a major in counseling studies, in which she graduated with distinction, from Capella University, Minneapolis, MN, awarded in 2016.

Dr. Leventhal has over 15-years of experience in providing counseling and psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families beginning with her formal training through Adelphi University and continuing through to the present. She has worked in a number of clinical settings with adolescents and adults of all ages. Dr. Leventhal has extensive experience working with the chemically dependent and those with co-occurring disorders. Her focus is on the physical, mental, behavioral, social, and spiritual aspects of health and wellbeing.
